We have experienced physicians trained in emergency and osteopathic medicine, a board certified orthopedist and physiatrist, highly skilled physical therapists and nurses, a registered radiologic technician, and a certified medical assistant. In addition, our clinicians and staff are specially trained in occupational health management to provide the most comprehensive care.


  • Jerry T. Price, MD

    Dr. Price received his undergraduate degree in Chemistry from East Carolina University. He continued his studies at East Carolina where he earned his Medical degree from the Brody School of Medicine. He completed his residency at Lynchburg Family Medicine which is an affiliate of the University of Virginia. Dr. Price is also board certified in Family Medicine. He has served as Attending Physician in Emergency Medicine and Director of the Occupational Medicine Division. His clinical specialties are Occupational Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine and Sports Medicine.   Dr. Price is certified as a Medical Review Officer as well as a Certified Medical Examiner for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers in interstate commerce.

  • John Daniel (Dan) Johnson III, DO

    Dr. Johnson received the Physicians Assistant designation from George Washington University after receiving his undergraduate degree from Virginia Tech. He then went on to receive his doctorate from the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine. He completed his residency at Lynchburg Family Medicine which is an affiliate of the University of Virginia. Dr. Johnson is also a board-certified Fellow of the American College of Family Physicians. He has served as Director of Mid-Level Provider Services in the Emergency Room at Lynchburg General Hospital. His clinical specialties are Sports Medicine, Osteopathic Medicine and Occupational Medicine.  Dr. Johnson is also the medical director at Lynchburg College Department of Physician Assistant Medicine.  Dr. Johnson is certified as a Medical Review Officer as well as a Certified Medical Examiner for commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers in interstate commerce.

  • Andrea A. Stutesman, MD

    Dr. Stutesman is a physiatrist and specializes in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation.  She received her undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University, followed by her Medical degree from Louisiana State University Health Science Center.  She completed an internship with the University of Texas Science Center and her residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University – Medical College of Virginia.  Dr. Stutesman was in private practice in North Carolina before moving to Virginia to practice privately.  She joined Centra in 2008.  Dr. Stutesman has over 20 years experience is occupational medicine, providing physiatry assessment and directed care as well as conservative pain management. 

     

     

  • James C. Dunstan, MD

    Dr. Dunstan received his undergraduate degree from Yale University, followed by his Medical degree from the University of Virginia.  He completed his orthopedic residency at the University of Virginia.  He completed a hand surgery fellowship at the Campbell Clinic in Memphis, TN.  Dr. Dunstan is board certified in Orthopaedic Surgery, he is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand and American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgery.  Dr. Dunstan was in private practice with Piedmont Orthopedics, Lynchburg, VA, 1982 – 2003.  He joined Centra and Centra Medical Group in 2004 as a Medical Director of Rehabilitation.  He currently leads Centra’s outpatient regional orthopaedic program.  Dr. Dunstan has been serving HealthWorks as an Orthopedic consultant since 2009.

  • Laura D. Weeks, PA-C

    Laura Weeks, Physician Assistant, joined HealthWorks in April 2015, assisting with injury care, employee physical exams and other related occupational healthcare services.  Laura attend Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University where she received a Bachelor of Science in Human, Nutrition, Foods and Exercise: Health Promotion Concentration.  She also completed a Master of Arts in Physical Education: Sports Management Concentration at East Tennessee State University.  She completed her Physician Assistant Studies at Jefferson College of Health Sciences.  She has experience in orthopedic and emergency medical care.  In her spare time, Laura enjoys spending time with family and friends. She also enjoys a variety of outdoor activities.

  • Leann Martin Perault, PT, MS, CEAS

    Miss Perault received her Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology from the College of William and Mary and her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy from the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University.She has over 16 years experience as a physical therapist, working in both inpatient hospital and outpatient orthopedic settings, including serving as the Site Coordinator for one of Centra’s outpatient rehabilitation clinics prior to starting at HealthWorks in 2009. At HealthWorks, she manages the Work Recovery Center, which provides physical therapy and work rehabilitation programs geared at promoting safe and early return to work. She has completed additional specialized training in the area of occupational medicine, and performs functional capacity evaluations, on-site job analysis, and job placement screenings. She is a Certified Ergonomic Assessment Specialist (CEAS) and  has provided ergonomic consultation and injury prevention services to various employers in Lynchburg and the surrounding area.  In her spare time, Leann enjoys walking, skiing, biking, paddleboarding, yoga, and spending time with family.

    Kim Bennett, RN, MSN

    Miss Bennett earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Lynchburg College and her Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Phoenix. She has worked in a variety of settings including cardiology, emergency nursing, forensic nursing, surgical nursing. She is a certified Occupational Hearing Conservationist accredited by CAOHC; Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation. She has also completed a NIOSH approved course in Occupational Health Screening Spirometry. She is currently working on FNP (family nurse practioner) certification. She enjoys activities that involve her children- Brookville High School band, BHS swim team, and Boy Scouts Troop 3230. She has four furry friends- Joey, Bean, Isaac, and Gypsy.
